Enviro Safetech provides on
site laser safety training throughout the United States, South
America, Europe and Asia.
Course Duration:
- The
Level I Laser Safety Awareness class is a 1-hour class for employees
working in areas where lasers are used.
- The Level II Laser Safety class for
laser users is 2 hours in length*
- The Level III Laser Safety class
for service personnel requires one additional hour (to Level I)*
- The Level IV Laser Safety Officer
(LSO) Certification Course is a 4-day (32 hours) course*.
*In order to become certified you must
pass the class exam with 70% proficiency or better.
The LSO course is designed
for Safety and Health professionals as well as Facilities personnel
responsible for laser safety at their organization. This is a practical rather
than theory course. The objective of the course is to train attendees
on their responsibilities as LSOs and provide them with resources
to develop and implement a laser safety program.

in the Laser Safety Officer (LSO)* class are as follows:
- 1-Regulations associated with laser safety:
- 2-Laser classifications
- 3-Laser hazards (Eye, skin, collateral)
- 4-Personal Protective Equipment (selection and
maintenance)
- 5-Engineering Controls (eg. Laser curtains)
- 6-Administrative controls
- 7-Written laser safety program development and
updating
- A-Sample written laser safety program
will be provided
- 8-Training requirements
- A-Sample training packet will also
be provided.
- 9-Laser labeling requirements
- 10-Medical surveillance protocol
- 11-Servicing operation safety
- 12-Exposure Limits (MPE)
- 13-Emergency procedures
- 14-Lockout Tagout and Electrical Safety
