Jay Jamali recognized as Safety Professional of the Year

July 3, 2006 - The Greater San Jose Chapter of the American Society of Safety Engineers has named Jay Jamali, CSP,CHMM, CHCM, Safety Professional of the Year for 2006. Mr. Jamali, Environmental Health & Safety Director of Enviro Safetech Inc., is given this honor in recognition of his professional achievements in the field of environmental and occupational safety and health, his support of the EH&S profession though service to ASSE, SEHSA and other organizations, and for his volunteer work on the Gulf Coast in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.

The award will be presented to Mr. Jamali at the July 11, 2006 meeting of the Greater San Jose Chapter of the American Society of Safety Engineers at 12:00 Noon. The meeting will be held at the Ramada Inn - Silicon Valley 1217 Wildwood Ave, Sunnyvale.

Founded in 1911,the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) is the oldest and largest professional safety organization. Based in Des Plaines, Illinois, ASSE has 30,000 members who manage, supervise, research and consult on safety, health, transportation and environmental issues in all industries, government, labor and education. ASSE is a global organization that works to advance the technical, scientific, managerial and ethical knowledge and skills of occupational safety, health and environmental professionals, and is committed to protecting people, property and the environment

Enviro Safetech recently purchased a large facility in the San Jose-Milpitas area. The site will be modified to accommodate a state-of-the-art safety training center and house most of Enviro-Safetech's administrative offices. Construction of the training center will begin after the close of escrow in April with a move in the May timeframe.
