This presentation will review changes to the 2015 version of NFPA 70E standard on electrical arc flash safety.  Attendees will leave this presentation with a better understanding of how Cal/OSHA can enforce NFPA 70E. In addition Jay will review new requirements for:

• Risk assessment
• Shock boundary
• Arc flash labels
• Safety training

About the Presenter 

Jay Jamali, CSP, CHCM, CHMM, has over 25 years of safety experience, bachelors in safety engineering and masters in safety management.  Mr. Jamali is an accomplished speaker that has presented at a variety of EHS conferences including the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE), American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA), Bay Area Environmental Safety Group (BAESG), Semiconductor Environmental Safety & Health Association (SESHA), Academy of Certified Hazardous Material Managers (ACHMM), Laser Institute of America (LIA), International Occupational Health Association (IOHA) and American Chemical Society (ACS). He is also currently on the faculty of U.C. Santa Cruz Extension Hazardous Materials and Safety Management certificate programs.
