Enviro Safetech is pleased to announce we have received final city, and all necessary safety inspections, and approvals to convert our building (2160 Oakland Road, San Jose) to generate electricity using solar energy. Jay Jamali Founder and CEO of Enviro Safetech said, “This important step meets a personal goal of mine, and one more capstone on our efforts to move our company towards a more green, sustainable, and carbon neutral status.” The completion of the installation and certification of the new solar array is part of Enviro Safetech's efforts at energy conservation that include, recently resurfacing the roof with highly heat reflective foam coating to improve building insulation and reduce cooling requirements. In addition all office lighting has been replaced with high efficiency, low energy use LED lighting, which has also noticeably improved the quality of light, by removing the harsh fluorescent lighting, throughout the building. In addition, 50% of the company’s vehicles are now Electric Vehicle (EV) or hybrid-electric. Staff and customers will be able to charge at work and while visiting our offices, using a new auto charging station. Of the three Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) vehicles in our vehicle pool, two are low emission (zero fumes), high efficiency turbo-diesels, and only one vehicle remains a traditional gasoline engine. Future energy saving goals that remain include completion of the ongoing upgrade replacement of our HVAC systems (30% complete), and replacing all ICE vehicles with EV or Hybrid-Electric versions. (Stay tuned for status update on our pre-order of the new Tesla CyberTruck!)
